Name me a telco that has technology that can deliver anywhere NEAR that figure (even theoretically). You are right that fiber all the way is the wave of the future. But for the forseeable future, Cable has a marked advantage vis-a-vi the bandwidth it COULD offer the end user over existing infrastructures.
