| Lawyers do things for money, err, I mean, for a fee. When they send out letters, they may not only charge their clients for the postage but even 'time and material'. Ofcourse they're only too happy to help out their clients.
And I've heard this RIAA sending lawyer's letter to grannies who dont even own a PC for sharing music over the Internet...
shawkee  , had it been me, if I had as much info abt my police report as you, I'll aggressively persue my police report to it's utmost completion, vis-a-vis this lawyer's letter (altho I know not what yr letter entails).
Bix: we try to help speak up for the little guys... and we always encourage everyone to make informed decisions. And personal attacks in this forum, I no like.

XEQtor, why not you contact PenangFON and help your good friend Shawkee mediate his problem with them. Shoot out in this forum is not creditable. There are proper channel to discuss like CFM, »www.cfm.org.my/..When there is a dispute, if all information come from one side is always bias. These false information pass on in this manner is what I NO Like.
TMnut is Monopoly in Malaysia, when there are new small providers coming all out to service us; some conspiracy to shut them down is the worst of all especially ShawKee trying very hard to push Streamyx into our Condo to replace PenangFON. Do you know what he has done? Try contact any of the Alpine Tower’s resident, they will tell you the real story if you do not trust me. Talk to them and you will find out the truth.
I agreed with you to protect little guy but if the little guy is backed by TMnut, do you think this little guy is a real little guy. That is why there is a lawyer involvement.
Our condo was service by other ISP before PenangFON, the previous ISP give up and PenangFON was invited to service our Condo. I agreed when at first there are some teething problems and it has been very good since 3-4 months ago. They can potentially break TMNut monopoly. I believe TMnut finding this is a real threat, hence using Shawkee to kill competitor in bad mouthing them is which what I cannot stand.
TMnut cannot provide us the service because we are using Time Telecom via HICOM.
So TMnut asking Shawkee to get support and kill PenangFON so that they can be Monopolized again. In fact, there is one resident telling Shawkee that it should be optional where we can still Enjoy PenangFON while if he wants TMnut to come in.
Ask any Alpine Resident if Shawkee did send email asking everybody to switch to TMNut and also telling people the real reason he reapply PenangFON is to give them problem? In fact most people like Me Ignore his email. That why he complains I did not respond to his email in our private forums because we do not support him.
This is in fact, Shawkee(TMnut) Vs PenangFON.

What is it with all these personal attacks pmpymn? Perhaps you're a PenangFON staff that is trying discredit anybody from telling about their bad experience with PenangFON. I admit I do not know anything about PenangFON. As jambalaya013 & XEQtor says, please provide data to support your claim.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion that is what a public forum is about, there is no need to get personal at anyone.

I must admit that I personal problem with my neighbor,Shawkee because he has his own agenda and I do not like to see this happen in my Condo!

I do not at any time work with TM Net. I also never heard of PenangFON until this thread started so I am also interested in hearing about it, I am not a member of DSLR but I do occasionally browse through here, I sure am there are others who does the same.
But you now admit you have a personal problem with ShawKee. Is that why you join DSLR? Just to launch personal attacks against him? I do not know who ShawKee quite frankly nor do I care about it, but I do see him showing his proof of his experience using PenangFON with his email logs, I have yet to see you show any proof after your relentless defence of PenangFON. The OP also asked you to show some data supporting your claims, you have yet to do so.
I have nothing against PenangFON. I am sure no ISP is perfect, some will have bad experience whether it is national ISP or smaller ISP. Now that he showed his experience with PenangFON through email log, you then say its good and he is "nonsensce user" then later on claim he is "trouble maker", now you say you have "personal problem" with him and so on...
I do not know what it is about with claims lawyer involvement, phone threats, police case and so on. This thread is asking about whether PenangFON is good or not. ShawKee says no, he showed his proof, you said yes it is good and straight attack him. I do not know nor do I wish to know about your issues with him I am sure others in this forum does not wish to know either.
So, can you please show some data to support your claims it is currently good. I have nothing against you, I would also rather not see this OP thread about PenangFON becoming a bashing and trolling ground either.

What is proof I was asking? Well, what I wanted to see is quite simple, show couple results of speedtests download & upload from eg DSLR, testmy.net or anywhere and post it here. Also download a large file eg Linux distro or anything from overseas and show the screenshot of the speed you're getting. There is no need to download the whole thing, just take a screenshot when your download speed stabilized. I would also like to see the ping results you're getting from eg yahoo/google. I am sure this will be quite enough to show how PenangFON currently is.

As advised by my lawyer, i should stop all these comments for the time being, until he finishes analyzing if i am safe to continue to voice up. This actually incurred potential unnecessary expenses for myself...:(
To clear myself up, I am not working with TM or which ever ISP. As i mentioned in my earlier threads before, that i am a IT 24x7 support personnel. I need the broadband to work. That is the main reason why i bring in alternative ISP to my apartment. This is for my own survival. No job, no $$$. I did mention to the apartment community forum that whatever existing infrastracture will remains, and i even advise the residents to stay if they feel that their current ISP is good, 'cos it make no sense to pay the installation or registration fees again to the new ISP.
Like some of you agree, this forum is to share experience, not personal attack. I always use my real name to post comments. Of course there are some other with the same name as me also, or to pretent me, in other forums. PM me, if you could give pieces of advise what i should do next. Thanks! |

pmpymn, u are entitle to say whatever u want as much as any other guy here, but why stopped ppl from saying the bad feedbacks, and personally attacking ppl who disagree with you?
I owned a small business and subsribing to the right ISP is critical for me, i would appreciate if you can show me data that the other ppl are all wrong and you are right, or else create other threads to do your vendetta.
(btw, i went to see lowyat threat and do take 'em to consideration, but mainly i found subjective opinions.
like Zaiddin says, data is important, especially the limitation, if i can live with it's limitation, i will subsribe, i don't care about how good it is, because, since its good alreadY!).
Side note: If my company staff go in to meeting arguing critical matters with subjectivty and without data/facts, i would have fired him a long time ago.
(FYI - I can say McDonald is the most healthiest food on earth... that is subjective. 1+1=2, that is data) |

Well, it is not my personal vendetta attack on my neighbor, it is something I do not like especially someone giving falsified information.
I will do some test and send it to you by tomorrow as I am not at my condo for weekend.
For the correct information sake, I called up Fiberhome, Patrick. They are the master reseller of PenangFON. According to him, Alpine Tower was assigned to a specific agent and because Shawkee reapply the same day, they issued him full refund, they have rejected his application
Imaging if you rent a house and demand a full refund, the land lord issued full refund and after you received the full refund on the same day, you submit application to rent the same house. It was the same package he applied. Does this sound suspicious of fraud case? If he refuse the cheque and request to continue would be a different mater.
According to Patrick, he requests his agent, Mr Pxxx to call Shawkee and tell him that his application was rejected. According to Patrick, after that person call Shawkee politely, Shawkee responded with a cursing word. That guy claims he was cool and quickly hang up but later Patrick received some email (circulated in Intel) forward to him that his agent was very rude. So Patrick gave that Mr Pxxx warning but Mr Pxxx said that he did not rude to Shawkee and in fact Shawkee was rude to him. That Mr Pxxx was very angry and call up Shawkee and give him a piece of his mind but he did not identified himself because he was rage with anger. Shawkee as usual had a lot of enemy until he could not know who call him, so he made a police report. Later, that Mr Pxxx also made a police report against him.
From what I understand from Patrick, PenangFON considering a legal sue against ShawKee after he wrote to many newspaper and make false claims at the same day that it was PenangFON Management. On that ground and including false information like in this forums, they will sue him for defamation, false information and fraudulence.
What Shawkee should do at first place was to find out who he had argument and made the police report with before he claim it was PenangFON. In fact, that person quarrel with Shawkee on personal level and that Mr Pxxx was not even PenangFON staff or Management. It is not difficult to check who is the person who made police report against him but instead he attack on PenangFON and PenangFON has nothing to do with this issue. In report, Mr Pxxx was in Bellisa Row when he called Shawkee after Patrick gave him warning.
Now I hope Shawkee will realise how screwed up he is now because he is a stupid ass hole barking at the wrong tree yet thinking he is the hero! |

Well you see the real situation is sort of covered up.OCESB, PenangFON or whatever have private forums which are only accessible by their own community.I doubt you can provide that kind of bandwidth consistency which Tment provides lor considering your international links is a far cry from theirs.
This whole thing is becoming sort of like a "China style" administration where the real facts are often hidden from the public.How can you ever improve if you threaten your customers whenever they voice out their opinions/feedbacks?Tyring to establish your own "internet" issit?

I subscribe the line for my home and not my office. I always away in my parent house for the weekend and come back to my condo on week day. I can only perform the test during Weekdays. |
