 Interesting and funny; but true??

That could be anybody on the couch. How do we know it was a Comcast technician? Because the anonymous person who posted it says so?

Agreed. Show some proof this is a Comcast employee.

Group of anonymous name-changing users ponder legitimacy; news at 11.

I suppose it's possible he threw a cable modem box and a laptop on a friend and told him to nap in some elaborate Verizon funded viral PR assault, but really....

I have to agree here. I could get my brother to fall asleep on my couch and film him as a cable employee and no one on ther internet would know any different.

Proof please? Clipboard with work order? Comcast truck outside? Anything?

It could be this person's friend on the couch for all we know...still it's funny to think about it though. I know some of those field guys are overworked, so I can't really say I blame him...but not on the customers couch. At least go back to the van or something...IF this really was a comcast tech.

i think he was on the customer's phone with the comcast 800 number to provision the new modem.

pretty sad if they put a tech on hold, you would think they would have a special number solely for field techs to call.

That's a pretty relaxed dress code for a cable company too.

I know when I have had the cable techs out, they have all been in uniform, which included pants.

For some, not even an offical ID would be enough.

There was a person on here who claimed to be a Comcast tech who said that if he ever had a customer filming him with a video camera, he would pack up all his tools and leave the job without doing anything. IF this is true, guess the guy had no choice.

Now, another thing. I have had a few visits by Comcast and NOT ONCE have they ever sat down in my house or apartment. They always stood or went on one knee. One helper did sit on the stairs but that was it.

I've had a Cox cable tech come out to do test on my brother's line, and the dude had on jeans, t-shirt, and a flaming Harley Davidson cap. No uniform, or anything signifying him as a cable tech. Only the fact he showed up in a Cox van let me know for sure.

A Comcast tech darkened my door the other day.

Imagine my surprise when my son - who knew better than to let him in - told me "Mom! E* from Comcast is at the door." It took me several minutes to convince E* that he was at the wrong address. I repeatedly pointed out that I have no services from Comcast. I don't think he believed me. Finally, he looked up at the drop, and I (practically shouted) if you're going to stick around you may as well remove that drop. At that point he left.

He wasn't wearing a uniform, and his car had no logo. He did have a Comcast badge.

Just what I was thinking about. Video at least needed footage of the service vehicle, and a photo of the work order?

The problem with special numbers is the end users feel they have a right to call them if their hold time s too long.

Maybe he was visiting the slowskis.

I hear they have a great pond, out back.

He could take a dip.

Watch out for Mr. Slowski, though. I here there are a LOT of things his wife doesn't know about him.

I'm not a Comcast HSI customer, and I in fact have DSL, but I do find the interaction between the 2 turtles in that cartoon amusing....

TKJunkmail you have now proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are a paid corporate shill to discredit and fill BBR and wherever else you post with as many talking points and lies as possible. so your a paid industry plant of Comcast... who else are you shilling for besides here.

why are you calling the the customer a liar. in your opinion Comcast is perfect?

Not me. My tech used my PC for troubleshooting, sat on my couch, and even bummed a smoke off of me. Depends on the person.

I have dealt with Comcast, as well as many other companies. Are you saying that everyone that works there is like this, because if so, you've got to be kidding. Thats why there is more subs on Comcast than Verizon. Love your profile, but this was a stupid comment, only because you've probably never worked the way an on-call tech in the field driving all over the city would have to work. All it takes is air-conditioning, and one good hour on hold music to put anyone to sleep after being in the heat all day. I myself would like to see proof this is legit though.
