We currently use: »www.lanshack.com/Crimper-for-RJ-···C67.aspx
For all installers. I've made up 100's of patch cables and end without any failures.
We also use: »www.lanshack.com/LANTEST-PRO-Cab···C67.aspx after every cable assembly to ensure continuity and pinouts. I test every cable made that is possible to test.
The crimpers that crimp at an angle kinda scare me as it seems it's possible to get a bad crimp out of those IMO.
I know this doesn't help your hand any, but the ratchet type allows you to crimp a little to get a better grip if you need it. I lost my middle finger last June to a rope on a riding lawn mower, so I feel your pain. I just can't grip like I used to, and strength isn't what it was. |
