Re: Goodbye Adelphia Poll

Open cave haha, sounds good.

I'm in Cleveland, and as yet I have no idea what is going to happen to us. Does anyone know who we're getting?

According to the acquisition chart, you are TW.

Funny how when I called Adelphia last night and asked them they told me they don't know yet. I swear every time I call Adelphia they know less and less every time.

Where is the TW section on our forums here? Is that just under Comcast or is there simply no TW support forum?

TW doesn't have a forum, although Road Runner does.

I wonder why HSI sites never show all their packages only the main one available

Because packages & pricing vary from one region to another.

Look at my area for the 6000/768 tier. I pay $38.95

What exactly is your area? Your location is listed as Happy Valley for God's sakes. Anyway, I did an availability check and of course TW isn't available in Cleveland, Ohio, only Adelphia... anyone know when I'll be switched to TW?

I know a lot of people just put silly names down for their location, so I assumed Happy Valley couldn't possibly be real. It Sounds like a great name for a town in a horror movie.

I love the name Happy Valley. The area is a weird mix of locals, rednecks, Penn State students & professors and professionals.

The sale still has to be approved by the FCC. The vote will (hopefully) be Thursday.
If approved then the sale will take place on 7/31. But it will take awhile for all the changes to take place after the sale.

In the end it all comes down to what can I expect from package/pricing.

Right now I pay $60 for 6mb/768k

TW's package is $80 for 8mb/512k

If this is what they try to hand me, I'll switch to Earthlink DSL.

Hopefully they offer me something a little better.

Well folks, with an astounding 1412 page views and 119 votes being cast, I'd say the final numbers are pretty much in as to how people feel about their new providers.

Jeesh, there I was a few posts back writing this thread off for dead and now it goes and makes front page BBR news.

It's included along with the goodbye adelphia story.
