 | Thanks MacLeech That's nice of TWC to set that site up to let it's new customers know what's going on.
Once again corporate greed has caused so many to have to make changes. I was still hoping Adelphia would have stayed in business. I wish all of the Adelphia employees the best in their futures and hopefully many of them will be able to stay at their current jobs.

RickPremium,MVM join:2001-02-06 Waterbury, CT | reply to MacLeech That is great that TW is doing this. Like i've said all along, the lucky ones are going to RR.
Unfortunately, despite my non stop prayers that I could go back to the ISP of my broadband birth in 1998 that I had for years after, that doesn't include RoadRunner Rick.
I feel as if my meeps haven't been heard. I now know what ET felt when phoning home and no one answered him.
The light, of my heart, is...fading..out. And going dimmer by the minute.
Can Comcast bring me back? I don't know.
Time will tell and we'll have to see I guess.
Anyways, good luck to all you lucky new RR customers and employees.
You're in good hands.

PS: To add insult to injury, just out of one last desperate attempt, I put my zip code in hoping that my meep meep would get through. Here's what it said back to me...
Welcome
"We show that your area will not be affected by recent service changes. Visit your cable companys website for more information"
Your cable company isn't us anymore RRR ...we dont' need you no more here.
I can't take this pain anymore!

Comcast Rick..? It just don't work!
Stay tuned for a RRR reincarnation over the next few months into something new.

I went to Comcast's site, and there is nada for us Adelphia to Comcast markets, just the news releases about TW and Comcast taking over their assets. |

kool kittyKool KittyPremium join:2002-04-03 Lancaster, CA | reply to MacLeech According to the TWC transition site, the migration is supposed to start this month. Odd that 2 days ago I got a phone call from Adelphia asking me how I liked the service and if I had any questions or problems. The only question I had was how much my bb service would be after the 3 month introductory rate of $23.95. He couldn't tell me! All he said it would be less than the regular price of $42.95 per month because I had an Advantage cable package. Maybe he didn't know because by the time my introductory rate expires I will be tranitioning to RR? |

RR ConductorHappy 40th AmtrakPremium join:2002-04-02 Redwood Valley, CA kudos:1 2 edits | reply to MacLeech No Comcast commericals here, of course, we have Directv lol Just our HSI is with Adelphia soon to be Comcastelphia.
Edit- Yes, we do see Comcast commericals on the SF Bay Area locals, as almost all of the Bay Area is Comcast, and is probably why we're going Comcast (our southern neighbor of Sonoma County is Comcast, and into the Bay Area, and much of the Sacramento and Central Valley's).
Edit2-besides us, any other folks in here going from Adelphia to Comcast? |

Is this what we can expect or switch over pains? |

 | reply to MacLeech well i can't say i'm looking forward to this change,i'm already looking at dishnetwork, and going back to dsl,of course this will depend on the price differance between t/w and adelphia. |

They abandoned me here when they had the perfect opportunity to take me back home.
They can buy out millions of new customers for 3300.00 bucks each but can't take RR Rick back?
Wow..I have to tell you..this hurts.
The TW Spaceship came down, swooped over me, I thought they were beaming me back up..but instead they shot at me reminiscent of a scene from War of the Worlds.
This is going to be war I tell you.
I think in the coming months an entire BBR site wide kill RR Ricks bird contest will be in order now, complete with prize even.
This is war.

Well I guess that list I mentioned in another thread was correct. I put in my zip code and I got a page telling me I'm going to be a TW customer. |

RickPremium,MVM join:2001-02-06 Waterbury, CT | reply to TrainBuff OMG..the plot now thickens! Was it Time WArner that did this to me or, dare I say it..the drunken cats!
I just found over in the RR forum a thread they, and even you have been participating in..rejoicing over their moving in! »[SOCIAL] I'll be TW soon
As everyone here knows, they've been after this bird for months now over here but have they finally managed a way to REALLY stick stick a knife into my heart by THEM taking over RR while banishing ME to Comcastic?
WTF!!!! OMG!!!
I'm close to being a broken bird over this whole thing!
What's the truth here? Was it TW's managements doing? A hostile takeover of TW by comcast insiders??
or..the Drunkin cats?????????
Over the next weeks and months, I WILL get to the bottom of this!
