12mile point to point

Hi I need to setup a 12mile link and try and get 10mbps bandwidth if i can, do you guys have any suggestions as to the hardware to use and setup, i was thinking of using 5ghz kit as i need to punch through a high 2,4ghz usage zone.

Thanks

Trango T-Link10 or Tranzeo TR-5a w/29dBi antennas.

You might also want to consider Microtik and StarOs systems.

I would either try the Tranzeo system or get the proxim quickbridge 20. The tranzeo should be very inexpensive and the quickbridge shouldn't be more than $1700 all inclusive I think.

I can recommend Airaya 5Ghz radios based on our good experience. These Atheros-based radios do upto 108Mbps rates at 100mW transmit power. You will get more than 10Mbps at 12 miles.

I second Airaya. We have some links that are Airaya that are near 10 miles and they push over 10Mbps.
