| Of course BellSouth doesn't like it.. 1) They passed a law to make sure that nobody else could put anything better than 128kbps. I smell Bell South (BS) lawsuit pending, warranted or not.
2) Its actual competition.
I don't have a problem with it. Bell South could have deployed something, however, BS appears to be the most slow moving, monopolistic, anticompetitive telco in North America. | |

Here | BellSouth did deploy wireless. It just wasn't free which is what everyone here hates.
And BST has some of the largest DSL availability of any company. | |

We hate the fact that 1) they successfully lobbied for such a corrupt law 2) they attacked the free NO mesh when it was still under water, only to protect their monopoly. | |
