Clearly not that case according to the news report and the Bellsouth representative in that news report. And of course all the footage showed them installing copper and there was no mention of fibre optics anywhere in the news report. Once again, Bellsouth seems to be doing the job half ass and on the cheap. Instead of making a long term investment that makes sense given the status of much of their network in that area, they dropped the ball.

Considering they were on the news recently complaining about people stealing copper cable being installed, its hard to believe they are installing fibre anywhere. And if they are, they are really skimping, putting in as little as possible.
