*sigh* I guess next time I'll avoid pointing out where you're wrong and tow the BBR line that BellSouth hates America.
Dude, I have pointed out a few users who were wrong and have only a few of mine deleted. I have even had one guy threaten to have me kicked off of BBR. Didn't work and a few of his posts were recently "moderated."

You can point out people are wrong as long as you back your position up. Use personal insults and you risk the wrath of the mods.

Now, I will admit, there is sort of a "party line" with many topics here but let's be frankly honest. BellSouth is not playing fair here are they? They don't want competition and are now crying foul because they can't charge for their Wi-Fi network. Put out a better product and a price people will pay and they will come. The law is bought legislation, pure and simple. And we all know how politics work in New Orleans.

Re: BS can eat ***...

The city wasn't playing fair. They tried to involve their own taxpayer backed free network that was created by politico fiat.

And BellSouth is wrong to be upset when the gov't comes in and uses taxpayer money to cut their knees off?

And I did back up my position. Being near the city actually allows me a type of inside track as to what's going on so my info is based on more than BBR's party line. The competing position was "BellSouth is ^$@$&%&%#*!", so there isn't much to counter.

Originally, the city had intended to cover the entire city with wireless Internet. That effort, though, has run into legal roadblocks because state law only allows such a city system to operate in times of emergency.
With all the people crying in New Orleans, you would think the emergency is still there.
