Re: [ViaTalk] Partial fix for DTMF issue

I tried my different IVR's and VM last night (PAP was already
set to inband), and much to my chagrin all is well in the land of DTMF tones.

So not to waste any time, I sallied forth to my garage, scooped up a lid from a cooler, 2 gallons of gas, and my old
phone. I then proceeded to give my old phone a Viking funeral
with all the flames, pomp and fanfare.

No turning back now.

I'm in bed with VT for the long haul...
(now who do I contact to request silk sheets for this bed ??)

I came here looking for why my voicemail password stopped working yesterday. Switching from AUTO to INBAND fixed my issue. Don't take this the wrong way. I do appreciated VT finally addressing this problem but it would have been nice if VT had used the BYOD alert list to disseminate this required change before implementing.

I'm not taking it the wrong way--in fact, I completely agree with you. They should have emailed info regarding the change to their BYOD customers. In fact, (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong) I don't recall a FAQ on their website that lists VT's preferred settings (ie. what they'd provision all their PAP2's to, all account settings except SIP authentication creds and server ID.
