How do you all call the USA?

I am wanting to find the cheapest way for my wife to call me from where she is. One thought is for us to both get VOIP boxes and she can use hers to call my VOIP box, but what service allows it?

Are there discount services of other types that might be other alternatives?

I will be getting her "high speed" access (not really broadband compared to what we get in the USA, but). She resides in the Philippines.

All help deeply appreciated!

Peace to you and yours.

Need to cut my phone bill down so I can save up for our trip to, hopefully, Hong Kong or Tokyo or something.

Yep....skype is the ultimate answer. It's also cheap to call back to Malaysia....RM0.08 per minute to fix line.

www.voipcheap.com - 5 hours per week to the USA for free when you buy 10 euros credit.

I have this connected to my Sipura box, lets me make 5 hours a week of free calls to Malaysia, Singapore, USA, Australia, Western Europe, etc., from an ordinary phone (using broadband connection as transit).

And actually it's the cheapest way I have to call Malaysian mobiles. If I am calling a friend's mobile while I am home, rather than using my mobile, I just use the VoIP.

Thailand also - 1 euro cent per minute.

Kicks Skype's ass on price, also better quality and you can use any equipment and/or software you want.

Yea, I tested gizmoproject already. The sound quality is far much better than skype, even calling from my to usa. But the software still had bugs, suddenly can crash, I wonder why...

When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity.
