[WCG] New Cancer Project at WCG

WCG just picked up a cancer research project, Help Defeat Cancer. Read about it here: »www.worldcommunitygrid.org/proje···earch.do

I reattached to the project and am now crunching some of the new units.

Once again, a headsup for anyone crunching for WCG. I went to add the new cancer project to my account and found that it's already enabled by default. So if any of you don't want to crunch it, you'll need to go in and uncheck it.

Personally I think it's wrong that newly added projects are automatically enabled - that should be a personal choice thing and should be left for users to enable. Not everyone will want to crunch all new projects - we don't all have the resources to do so.

Anyway, I've left mine enabled as I'm more than happy to add what I can to this new project!

I agree with you, but I understand why WCG does it that way. Most crunchers there don't check the site or their machines very often. This way, those who want to choose can and those without a clue... are without a clue!
