yeah... been slow since Friday this weekend. We only got hooked up on Wednesday, and it was fine Wed & Thursday, but since then, garbage.. I *might* be seeing 30kbps average speed.. this isn't much faster than the old dialup!

Yes high pings for the last 2 weeks starting about 8:30pm CST M-F, doesn't seem to happen on the weekends. Last week it was really slow and did go out on 2 nights. Mediacom says it isn't their problem blames it on AT&T back bone!!

I was pretty busy over the weekend so I never noticed any slowdowns in Rantoul. For what it's worth though I am right now remoted in to my system at home and ran a speedtest to Chicago and it looks pretty good.

Down: 8752
Up: 797

Usually I get a little higher but since I'm remoting in that justifies part of this small decrease. If there is time, I'll try to check again tonight.

been helping my sis in elburn, ill.for the last two weeks things have been getting worse by the day!!! last week about tues or weds she's lost everything.(internet, phone,tv)
i called medacom thurs & they said they were going to send a tech out fri.well low & behold,Saturday someone finally showed up Saturday ,pulled into her driveway, climbed the pole outside sat there a few moments.climbed down, then left... she then called mediacom and they said yes there was a problem but that she would need a crew out. the way mediacom has handled this situation was BS!!they never tryed to call her, before or after service.fought with her about service or crediting her account because of issues.
i'm just relaying this to others out there looking for advice on this.is there anything we\she can do?

Yes in Effingham Illinois. I'm at the point where it would be less hassle to just call and have dsl installed again rather than suffer through more time with mediacom
