You should: 1]get a job at a movie theater. Then the movies are free. 2]Become buddies with the managment. I knew a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy that was buds with a theater manager. He'd call and ask if it was kool if he and a few buds went to see a movie. The manger would give them free tickets as long as they paid for food from the concession stand. The theater makes its money from food sales. They take in very little from movie ticket sales. -- Say no to the IRS.. Yes to the Fair Tax! This beer is for: 464th bat. 98th div. Combat engineers. It should be $3-4 bucks a movie, $2 dollars a drink, not $9 a movie, $4 a drink. yeah. concessions is where the theatres make their REAL profits. -- You can never be too rich, too thin or have too much Bandwidth |

They don't do these anymore in Boston. And movie tickets are $11's... :P
I just don't watch movies anymore. I think the last one I saw was Lord of the Rings thingy.. I'm not paying $50's to bring my family to a terribly written movie.
Most DVD's are so bad that I just get up and walk away 30 mins or so before its over; not even interested enough to see what happens.
Of course, one of the reasons movie ticket prices are so high is because of the crazy actors union. When is the last time you saw a performance that warranted a $20m pay check? The average CEO annual salary is ~$6m a year and people complain A LOT about how much these guys make. (probably rightful so) Yet "actors" are making over 3x as much. Some of them (Angelina baby) even say that they are outrageously paid. |

The theaters have to make it somewhere. They make peanuts off of the ticket sales -- so little, in fact, that it's pretty much negligible. That's the reason concession prices are ridiculous. |

It's 12$ in my area for a movie and most of it goes to the distributors and studios. I often find the seats in the theatre and the snack food more memorable then the movies I've been seeing lately. |

We've still got $5 Matinee around here. Don't know how much longer it'll last. But it's still around. |

Its not that ghetto. Go during the day or afternoon. I don't think its unsafe. I just goto columbia because the theater is way bigger and has better screens. |

Please stop incorrectly refering to copyright infringment as theft , it is not theft, it is copyright infrignment, plain and simple. You don't have to twist any logic, rationalize, or anything to get that straight. It is what it is and is not what it is not.
To be theft, after something is stolen it has to no longer be in posession of whoever previously posessed it, otherwise, it's not theft.
