I threw away a bunch of phones when I was a SBC POTS subscriber thinking that the phone was the source of poor audio quality... When I switched to Vonage... I was also using another phone that I was about to throw away because of the same reason.. Plugged it into the Vonage VOIP router... audio quality was about 2-3x better than POTS. I wish I could get those other phones back....

Just an experience I wanted to share with you and let you know your statement isn't 100% true.
