Today, I got an email from Gizmo Project saying they offer free* calls to following 60 destinations. You have to work on to make the calls free. I haven't tested yet. It isn't completely free. The person you call in one of those countries should have a Gizmo account and mentioned the phone number in that country when subscribing for new Gizmo account. Then you can call that phone number even if your friend is not logged in.
