Power Boost and newsgroups??

Anyone here use newsgroup for downloading? I noticed that I can spike to 10-12Mbps but its only for a few seconds at the beginnig of the download and then I am kept at the 6Mbps. Anyone actually able to keep a steady 10-12Mbps connection when downloading from newsgroups??

nevermind, i just read that power boost is only used for the first few seconds of a download.
