From what I gathered through the posts here, it seems like there is a very few interests in this PAP2v2. Too bad because I believe this PAP2v2 is a much powerful device than its predecessor. If my prediction is right one can easily turn this PAP2v2 into a VoIP system that is far more superb than a Linksys SPA9K (costs about $400).

Anyway, I just opened up one of my PAP2v2 and took a single snapshot (see the attached photo -- Sorry it doesn't look very good). It appears this PAP2v2 comes with a MIRA P2V64S40ETP 8MB RAM and a TI TNEV1015ZDW 63ALF2W Chipset.

EDIT: This is very interesting: the cat /proc/meminfo on my PAP2v2 shows it has a total of 16MB RAM as showns below:
quote:
# cat /proc/meminfo
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 14409728 14082048 327680 0 2060288 4296704
Swap: 0 0 0
MemTotal: 14072 kB
MemFree: 320 kB
MemShared: 0 kB
Buffers: 2012 kB
Cached: 4196 kB
SwapCached: 0 kB
Active: 7876 kB
Inactive: 2360 kB
HighTotal: 0 kB
HighFree: 0 kB
LowTotal: 14072 kB
LowFree: 320 kB
SwapTotal: 0 kB
SwapFree: 0 kB
I reckon there must be another RAM chipset on the back of the mobo of a PAP2v2. If this is the case, then it is a good news.

Its not very common so far since they just came in market atleast in BB for only 2 weeks. I am sure within a couple of months lot more folks will be having it. Waiting patiently till you experts figure out.. and this will provide us maybe with more features, ram etc..
by the way thanks for the picture.
