Have you done ANY research yourself on this?

Come on - get realistic. Would you like someone to do their doctoral thesis on this for you?

Even if you picked a couple hosts by doing some work on your own, we'd ask you more questions to determine which might be the most appropriate solution.

Yes, I have a file on my desk that could fill a 3-4" three ring binder with various sites and offerings.

I've got pricing all over the place from some too low to be serious to $$$$/month.

I am looking to compare apples to apples and figure that some here could provide what they offer and/or use for this type of hosting. If it were Linux hosting the choice would have already been made.

No, but I would like to get a response of "I've been using MegaWinsleaze Hosting for 3-4 years. They offer....for $/month...Check them out at...."

I ask a question to get a response from some one who has used x product, software, host.

Like another topic of mine looking for suggestions on classified/buy/sell/trade/auction scripts for a site. I got one response. No one here is doing this on their sites personal or commercial to offer some insight..."Hey I use MegaPHPAuction and has been stable and secure......"

I ask to learn from those who have faced the same questions and situations before. Google is not the end all to every thing. Neither is the search here. Good tools yes, but the forum or a mailing list or a newsgroup is where to get info on what others have tried and found to work, not work, some what work etc..

As above I've spent a good bit of time looking at various companies offering this hosting. Unfortunately certain people (and they get the choice in this situation) want it on a winsleaze box, I don't have to maintain it, so I don't care, BUT I am still stuck with saying that XYZ Hosting is offering a good price and for the features we need v. ABC Hosting.

Some pricing has been $$/month, BUT by the time you ADD all the features you need its $$$$. I've also seen pricing thats 1/10 of the price offering all the features, and thats just not realistic.

Obvisouly *I* made the mistake of thinking that getting some help here was possible. My mistake.

I don't think you made a mistake in asking for help here. You'll find the folks who frequent this forum a helpful bunch, I think it's the nature of the request that may have turned some off:

That's a hearty request, and requesting the information via PM to boot? If anyone is going to take the time to research something like this, it's best shared and not held in private.

Sounds like you've done some research on your own (you get points there) but need some assistance in making a final decision. Perhaps you could post some of the websites you looked into and the packages you were interested in, you're more likely to get some on-topic feedback then.
