With all the happenings at Team Starfire recently, I'm sorry to say that it is time for me to go.

To the Team Starfire Leadership:
Your handling of the DCS situation was horrendous. You did not and have still not communicated a valid reason for your actions. We, the team members, are left to speculate on what happened and as to your motives. One thing is clear, is was not in any way to help the team. Egos and petty jealousy were the main reason. The resignation from the DCS was a staged event, done to deliberately drive a wedge between members of the team; all so that you could make the most of the announcement of your new team and increase its membership. I will not have anything to do with a team that makes a start in this way. This is an incredibly hard thing for me to say, I have had a great deal of respect for those members who are leaving - not so anymore.

To the Leaders of BBR
Your handling of the DCS situation was horrendous. The creation of a forum whose purpose is to provide direction to distributed computing community at BBR whose threads are closed to that very community. The stated purpose of a secret forum is so that the members can have an open dialog without fear of repercussions. This is not right. Representatives to the DCS must be accountable to their teams. The only way to do this is with frank, open dialog. If you say something at DCS that your team won't like, you shouldn't be saying it - at least not in the guise of a representative. BBR management did nothing to attempt to keep this team together - they were as egotistical and pig-headed as the team representatives. I see no willingness on the part of BBR leadership to change this dictatorial policy, I therefore must resign from this team.

I can't stay and I can't leave. I can't stay on this team because of how BBR runs it. I can't leave and go to the new team because of how they started.

Goodbye.

Bill
