| Re: Are we mad yet?? I don't agree that it should be terminated, but rather, actually run correctly. It's a "Good Thing" that just happens to be overrun with corruption--wipe that corruption clean, and you have something beneficial.

Yeah, but that same thing could be applied to just about every major Government Department or program, including the Military, Social Services, Department of Housing and Urban Development, USDA, etc etc
I think everything starts out as a "good idea" and then gets corrupted and becomes extremely wasteful. I guess I really shouldn't limit it to Government, either. It's a tall order, but nobody ever said reigning it in was easy. However, it does need to be done, or else it'll just fester and shift around to new "good thing" projects that don't deserve the abuse. | |
