 Panda Antivirus 2007 and Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2007 came out today. Light on resources like everyone wanted. I will post numbers soon on the idle and full load CPU usage compared to the previous versions

In terms of resources used, how does Panda Anti-Virus + Firewall 2007 compare to Panda Platinum, version 7?
Does Panda Anti-Virus + firewall include the similar components as your previous Panda Platinum 2005 and Panda Platinum 2006?
I am a great fan of Panda but there were a number of issues with both of prior versions.

2 edits | Platinum 7 was a very stable product back in the day when it was out and even now, but it is ran on older technology that is found in the newer products.
You will notice that 2007 went back to its roots of Platinum 7 and keep the footprint lower then its ever been, but still having the TruPrevent technology and Spyware detection engine that Plat 7 didnt have
As for the one that has the firewall will be the same as the one that doesn't, but very similiar of the Plat 2006 engine as well, but very much revamped. All user requests this time were concidered and beta tested with regular users which is something that Panda never did in the past

I took a look at the Panda comparison table and it shows that Panda Antivirus 2007 does not include TruPrevent. Is this incorrect? Or will TruPrevent only come with the 2007 suite (when it's released?) |

I will get the name of it this week for you guys.

Does the firewall allow you to fully configure program access by allowed/disallowed IP and port?
