To be honest, I wish they'd just leave things alone.
When they increase the credits for any given level of work, it just diminishes the credits we've earned under the old system.
I'd much rather they spent their time making it a more interesting project to be a part of. Berk has been very focused on credits/stats lately, not much heart in the science end.

Very true.
But the promise of an increase in points for work is on the horizon. That may make it a bit more competitive and rewarding.

It definitely removes some of the instant gratification of adding new crunchers...you don't see your total go up for several days, and your RAC for a week after that. Its not like the old days when a big dump showed up right away.

I as well have a great number of pending credits some of which have or had to in some cases wait up to 2 weeks or so to get the actual credits for them.
But they do eventually become finished WUs and get credited to your account.

Sometimes they take awhile. Each one requires 3 valid results, so if you happen to have a faster machine than the other two, you'll be waiting. Then there is the issue of those who don't return, you end up waiting for a 4th person to run it.
General rule of thumb is no more than a week, at least for me.
