| Prey: Yay, or Nay?
I have been back and forth in the store whether or not to fork $60 to buy this game. I just finally caved and bought FEAR. And I love it so far. Not very far at all in that right now, but thats beside the point. I have not played this game or the demo yet. I hear nothing but good things so far. Is it FPS, RPG, I've heard it described as both. Have not a clue though.
I need the skinny on PREY! I'm a bit of a sucker for good games. |

| reply to McLovin FPS... whoever said RPG didn't know what the hell they were talking about .
It's a really twisted game and you need to have an open mind while playing the game or you might get a headache from killing people sideways or upside down .
Try the demo as ghost suggested, you get a pretty large part of the beginning to the game for free. Search it up on google. -- Life is a game of blackjack. You keep playing until you bust. |

1 edit | reply to McLovin I think the plot/storyline is very cliche and pandering. I wouldn't play it for that reason alone. They might as well have inserted Apache Chief from the Super Friends in there. -- "WHEN THE LAUGH TRACK STARTS THEN THE FUN STARTS!" |

Mizzat Will post for thumbs Premium join:2003-05-03 Atlanta, GA | I though Prey was a great demo, but don't think worth buying the game. I'll wait for the Portals from Valve. That looks worht the purchase. If you haven't seen the video preview of that, it is totally worth a look! |

| reply to McLovin Yah - with a note, I thought it was a very short game. I did it in ten hours and that included sightseeing. Also even though it can be disorienting (walking on walls etc) I still found it to be a very linear game and you never really didn't know where to go next. |

| reply to McLovin It was a good game, but short. They really could have taken it to another level if they would have engaged the warrior training piece 3/4 way into the game... but instead of training, they were invaded at the sacred grounds (sigh)... It would have been cool to see his powers increased after training, along with the difficulty of the bosses/minions... The demo was great, but the game itself didn't take things much higher... maybe the next installment will be better (and longer). |

| reply to McLovin I've been out of the gaming scene for a while. I didn't know that 3D Realms had actually gotten their act together and finally released this.
They mentioned it in the FAQ that shipped with Duke Nukem 3D.
Maybe there's still hope for Duke Nukem Forever.
I'll have to give the Demo a try and see how it plays. |
