Just looking for some input on how much lower people think this Processor will drop in price. It has gone down like $18.00 in the last few days. I am looking to buy if it drops below $300 I know Mwave has this for $303 3 day ship. Mwave was selling this for $297 3 day ship this AM.

Not sure how the pricing is going to go. On the one hand AM2 is out now, on the other, the AM2 version is only 512 L2 cache, making the 939 the better performer. I would imagine prices will fall at least once more before they all disappear, but it will be a few months.

My last build was 11/09/05 I was looking at the high end Processors but could not see any thing other than what I bought 64 4000+ San Diego for the bang for the buck. I gave $334 for it then and today can get it for $139 free ship. I could not see spending the big bucks just to say I had it, when what I got will do anything that the big price tags could and will do.
So I will have a little sympathy your way for not knowing better. LOL

Cool deal. I requested a price alert from Newegg back on 08/08 and received a email tonight on the price drop and it went down to $299 on sale. I just bought it and Newegg gave me 1.1% off the total price for the preferred account so I got it for $295.71
It does pay to hold out.
