If not, go into bios and see if there is a setting to disable something like "SPD" auto detect and set it manually to the closest setting the board has. It may be the board tops out at 2700 and yours is 3200 so you need to manually adjust it. The same problem can occur with incompatible cas latency. Disabling auto-detect in the bios sometimes helps.

Ill check the bios for any settings like that, not sure what kind of memory settings an emachines bios will have though. Its just regular enhanced mushin memory. Really dont understand these emachines.

For some reason the motherboard is not compatible with the memory... I wonder if the eMachines web site has a list of compatible memory and if not - Crucial has a app that can tell you which one of their modeules is compatible...: »www.crucial.com/
