In my opinion and in my experience BOClean makes an outstanding complement to my antivirus. It has always played well with my antivirus programs, first Norton, now NOD32, and I have experienced no conflicts. I made my first purchase of BOClean several years ago and have never had to pay a subscription fee since. My per year cost of using BOClean is now small and getting smaller with time. The folks at BOClean always seem to be on the leading edge and often way ahead of the curve when it comes to new threats. A good example of that was the Sony rootkit deal. BOClean had it covered months before it became common knowledge. Although I have never needed support myself, I have observed from postings here and at other forums that people seem to get good and prompt support from the folks at BOClean. I am still using Win98SE and BOClean is one of the good programs that will still work as advertised on any Windows operating system with a minimum of system resources. If Norton or McAfee tried to replicate BOClean's protection they would probably add several new executables that would drag a system to a crawl.
I do not really understand the acrimony that often results from a thread about BOClean at this forum. I personally always appreciate hearing from the folks at BOClean when they post about what they are doing to protect against a new threat, or deal with a new issue, or address a problem. Each time I see their knowledgeable posts and quick responses I am reassured and gain more confidence in BOClean knowing that they are still hard at work and not semi-retiring, not delegating the work to others, and not resting on their laurels.
Logically I know that kevin and Nancy cannot keep this up forever, someday they will want to retire. Some day some security software company may make them an offer they cannot refuse. I hope that day is a long time in the future. |
