Re: CYT Device: Unlocking Information

I have a WRTP54G with Vonage firmware v. 1.00.60. I wan to flash it w/ the new linksys fw to get all the functions enabled. You can't do anything on this bad boy. what really ticking me off if it doesnt allow for assigning static IPs within the LAN.
I ran cty4.6, i came back w/ the user/pass but they dont work. i cycled the router as suggested and nothing. i tired this a few month ago an got nowhere...any advice?

Hello,
I have unlocked a VT2442 using CYT4.6 and have configured it for FWD using the attached xml file (after changing the number and password). I am able to receive calls but my am not able to make any outgoing calls (including 613 - echo test). Can anyone please help.
Thanks very much

I saw somewhere that vonage started adding 666 to the dial plan.
Could that have anything to do with it?

I dont think the router is still talking to vonage. I had it unlocked from vonage. I am using the following settings in my xml file (changed the number and password below). Not sure if I need to add anything else in here.

  <ADMIN_STATUS>1</ADMIN_STATUS>
<NET_REG_CHECK>0</NET_REG_CHECK>
<CID_NAME>Name</CID_NAME>
<CID_NUMBER>Number</CID_NUMBER>
<AUTH_USER_NAME>Number@fwd.pulver.com</AUTH_USER_NAME>
<AUTH_USER_PASSWD>password</AUTH_USER_PASSWD>
<PROXY_FQDN>fwdnat2.pulver.com</PROXY_FQDN>
<PROXY_PORT>5060</PROXY_PORT>
<REG_FQDN>fwd.pulver.com</REG_FQDN>
<REG_PORT>5060</REG_PORT>
<DIGIT_MAP>xxxxxxT|xxxxxT|xxxxT|xxxT|*1xxxxxxxxxxT|*3x.T|*4x.T|**x.T</DIGIT_MAP>

Thanks

hi rat,

not sure if this helps; I can receive calls from ipkall and make outgoing calls to 800#

settings I entered manually on a cisco 7940 phone, no dial plan.
line2_name: "my_fwd_#"
line2_displayname: "my_fwd_#"
line2_authname: "my_fwd_#"
line2_password: "my_fwd_passwd"
proxy2_address: fwd.pulver.com
proxy2_port:5061

Try to use the following:

Thanks Mazi. I tried using Number instead of Number@fwd.pulver.com and that did not help. After provisioning the router with Number in user name field instead of Number@fwd.pulver.com, I tried dialing 612 (time test on FWD) a couple of times and called myself a couple of times (to test incoming calls). I am still able to receive calls but no outgoing calls. The router has a system log for voice. I am cutting and pasting the log here. If anyone can make sense of this, I would appreciate it very much. This is what the system log looks like now:

Please ignore the log in my previous post. I refreshed the status screen on the router to get this latest log. 819647 is my FWD number. It looks like some kind of registration failed. Again, any help will be deeply appreciated.
Thx

Answer is in the log:

You have
0000495769 - Expires: 60

but server says it's too low and offering you allowed minimum (600)

0000495845 - SIP/2.0 600 Too Frequent Requests

You should set the right value:
<REG_EXPIRE_TIMER>600000</REG_EXPIRE_TIMER>

I changed the REG_EXPIRE_TIMER to 600000. (It was originally set to 60000.) But that did not help. Still can not make outgoing calls. Here are the common coding config and SIP config settings from the XML file I am using.

Here is the voice log. When I lift the receiver to make any call, I can hear the dial tone. But once I dial any number, the phone goes silent, as if the line were dead. Anyway, here is the log.

I don't see any changes - you still have Expires: 60 and Registration Failed.

And, as I asked before - please post the log, showing your INVITE and server's responce.

This is the only log that the router shows. I am not sure how to extract the invite information from the router.

Possibly try this:

dial 123#

(put the '#' on the end of your number being dialed)

While doing this, refresh the logs (the same place u captured above from)..

The INVITE should show in there.

123 being an invalid number should give you a fast busy signal. But, it at least sent the request. Let us know if this does return a fast busy.

I have a similar problem. My PAP2V2 works fine for about a week when suddenly i stop being able to dial out (fast busy signal after dialing first digit on both lines which are set up with different VOIP's). Incoming calls still work fine. This happens regularly and then i have to jump throgh hoops to reset it. It is very annoying and I can't seem to fix it for good( I tried even feeding my own xml file etc). I am just about to give up on the PAP2V2.
Does everyone experience such difficulties on a regular basis? I can;t use this POS if it is so unreliable.

I think there is some hardware issue with my VT2442. Now, the power light is red all the time and doesn't change to green even if I reboot/reset it. It is also unable to store the xml file I am sending it. After every reboot, I have to re-unlock it and reprovision it. I am getting a PAP2 and will trash the VT2442 once my PAP2 arrives.
