| [Connectivity] Connection acting funny for me
My problems began yesterday; I was downloading a file and it suddenly stopped. Nothing would load. I power cycled the modem, connected it straight to PC (removed router) and was still unable to connect. Later that night, I was able to get a connection but the odd thing is that some pages loaded fine, some slowly, and some took me to the Comcast installation page (to download that 26MB thing). What could be causing this? Modem signal levels are fine (-8 and 55). -- R.I.P. György Ligeti May 28, 1923 - June 12, 2006 |

| reply to pi Well your line quality test look alright,so I'm not sure what your problem is or was. Are you still having problems? This will explain why you see the so called packet loss in your LQT. »Tools FAQ »Why am I seeing so much packet loss in my provider's network? |

| reply to pi From the behavior you've described, as well as the lack of signal-related problems, it sounds like you've got some residual DNS resolutions to the walled garden page, or something.
Try running a "ipconfig /flushdns" from the command prompt, and see if it helps.
