5.8GHz does not like things getting in it's way. What you are trying to accomplish requires 900MHz.... You went the wrong direction. Unless you need the exercise, you can give this a try but I will be surprised if you can even see the other radio. If this is for a backhaul, it needs to be open line of sight.

We have 900MHz assemblies in stock, just no SR9's
If you know where to get some SR9 cards, you will have a complete unit.

Re: High-Feature 40dB/10 Watt 5Ghz

You mean, An Amplifier?.. no it does not. 10 watts EIRP is enough as it is, maybe over.
Trees ABSORB RF. There's no if's or but's about it. 900Mhz works better because it is less susceptible to trees. Plus 5.8 is used by many many cordless phones.

Says they have them in stock.

An amp (or any other high transmitt power) helps marginally in areas with NLOS as the loss traveling through trees is simply so high.

Lower frequency radios will simply beat higher power almost everytime.

You might talk with lutful about a biquad antenna as they seem to help him.

I actually have my 5GXi 5ghz CPE going through about 1/4 mile of trees on a .8 mile link to my tower. I was shocked it worked at all. It works quite well most of the time, except when it rains... trees + wet leaves aren't too kind to 5ghz.

Re: High-Feature 40dB/10 Watt 5Ghz

Got MY P2p Setup I am on 3rd floor (Slave) other one (Master) at my basement . I have dubt it will work on 2000 Nlos Link I dont get it why my noise is about -95dbm when there is no other 802.11a device in my area
Signal Strength: -46 dBm
Noise Level: -95 dBm
Operational Rate: 54 Mbps
and I got about 18.5 Mbs when I did test with my one computer to other computer

I heard the CPU will max out around 22. YOu need to spend more $$$ if you want faster.

Graham Since your one going about 4000 Feet so I guess I wont have that much problem going throw 2000 Feet

@kaballero.com

Here is an easy heuristic to estimate loss per 100 meters of trees at any frequency.

(Freq in MHz)/100 = dB loss per 100 meters of trees.

900/100 = 9 dB loss per 100 meters.

2400/100 = 24 dB loss per 100 meters.

5800/100 = 58 dB loss per 100 meters.

It isn't exact and there are better formulas but you can't do them in your head.

You can run numbers all day long, but the only way to know for sure is to just try it with the actual equipment.

Sorry to say, but you will lose it (connection) probably. If possible try to raise any end the highest you can. or lower if it's a better view. Align and re-align. And don't pay too much attention to direct path for your alignment. The panels may need to be, or look like they aren't facing quit right. Go for the signal, not looks. And try both 5.3 and 5.8 on every single channel available.
