| Does Nis 2007 has Detailed View Statistics Window? Hi All Norton internet Security 2003 has had before "Detailed View Statistics" window(option) but 04,05, and 06 version dont have it!? why? i dont know lol but i miss it and i think that every firewall should have it its important i liked to see the current connections! tcp,udp,icmp connections + incoming-outgoing packets! in my opinion this is a must have it! can someone post some info about Nis07 firewall log details,please thanks | |

Hi thanks for the info i have sent an email to Symantec about Detailed View Statistics Window (Option) so i wish they include DVS in Nis07 version if anyone would like to see Detailed View Statistics Option included in NIS2007 version please send them email and vote for it guys lol heres the link

| Can confirm that it does not contain Detailed Network Stats. You can get the same functionality from TcpView/PortMon from sysinternals. The only statistics I'm interested in are the Firewall Rules stats (name of each rule in one list and number of times each rule is matched or passed.) They have not removed this functionality to reduce bloat...it is their cheap way of fixing bugs (remove vs. rewrite). No other software can replace this removed functionality. Similarly the import/export settings was removed in earlier version rather than fix the bugs with it. The buggy network detector/zones stuff is next on their list of "remove rather than fix". Now if they could only remove the buggy Symantec Integrator...but then there would be nothing left.
