If I had something I wanted to accomplish, no matter I'm using your 200000 computers, I would have to make decisions on how to try to get results needed to continue work. Not how I could do each and every thing each 200000 computer owners wanted. Be real here.
You don't have to agree with anyone as long as you run the app and return the results. Some jobs are thankless. That's just a fact of life. Fortunately, this one is not required of anyone.

No. first it's because they looked upon us as "Users" instead of "Contributors", which has changed. Second it was because some of use were a "points first" type person as a opposed to a "science first". And we were looked down upon, and treated as second class "contributors" for daring to have that attitude. So yes, I felt it was thankless and said the "hell with it, and them." So I quit.
