 | [Info] D-Link DI-624 Rev.C Firmware 2.76b05 There's Firmware version 2.76 Beta 05 posted at D-Link's German support site, there's no mention of it at the USA/Canadian site:

Have anyone tried this one yet ??? Does it keeps the same issues that 2.75 showed:
- SSID Broadcast can't be turned off. - NTP doesn't work. - Reboots. - LAN side computers dissapear over time.
Please share your experiences with all of us...
Thanx... |

|
 | Installed firmware about 2 hours ago....so far so good. no reboots, solid wireless connection. Had constant reboots with firmware 2.75 |

peter_mPremium join:2005-07-13 Canada, QC 1 edit | This firmware seams pretty clean. The only problem I find is that I can not ping a wired IP from a wireless IP. Just too bad. Like the O.P. was asking, LAN side computers disappear from the very beginning!
On the bright side, UPnP disabled, port forwarding, PPPoE and file sharing all seam to work fine. |
|
 | OMG what did they do, the CDN site now only has the american firmwares bastards. I've not tried this 2.76 firmware yet, but all the previous firmwares have issues. The only one that has been stable for me has been the 2.59 which was on the canadian site. The only issue I have now is Random MSN disconnects. Sometimes 1 a day sometimes 5. Anyone else notice this, and how is this new firmware. Can I load my config or Will I have to redo it all for this new firmware like previous ones, which is a pain in the ass. |

Reboots every few minutes if I disable Upnp, and I'm positive this is the cause since it goes away if I renable upnp |
|
 | Are you refering to this new beta bios? d/c when upnp is off?
I don't have any issues with PNP at all with my current firmware which is 2.59 |
|
 | ok I just tried this firmware, and its works great by far the best one.
no more random d/c on msn, only issue I have with it is when trying to use MAC filters it seems to crash Router, and I have to do the crash recovery to get it back, if I leave it on IP filters it fine. |

 KennyC join:2003-01-31 Australia | Lost 108Mbps Hi,
Upgraded to 2.76 Build 05 and all went OK, but I've lost 108Mbps. I used to beable to regularly connect at between 72-96Mbps, but can only connect at 36-48Mbps now.
Internet connection is OK, but my file transfer speeds have been cut in 1/2.
Tried with and without Dynamic Turbo.
Any suggestions please????

Re: [Info] D-Link DI-624 Rev.C Firmware 2.76b05 said by llgomezg:- SSID Broadcast can't be turned off. Fixed with 2.76b5
- Reboots. Still reboots for me with UPnP disabled (DI-624 Rev. C3).
- LAN side computers dissapear over time. Still happens. |

 | reply to llgomezg Back to 2.71 b7 dated 9/17/2005. With the DWLG650 internal PCI adapter, this seems to be the latest version that is stable where wpa psk can be used.
The latest f/w kept dropping the connection. -- Ken |

1 edit | reply to llgomezg Still reboots when using eMule Kad or distributed Bittorrent. Otherwise (seems) stable like before, with UPNP enabled and auto select channel disabled. |
|
 | reply to llgomezg said by llgomezg : - NTP doesn't work.
Seems to be working fine. said by llgomezg : - Reboots.
It's pretty stable for me. Currently at 1 day, 7 hours with eMule, Azureus with DHT, and an FTP client running. said by llgomezg : - LAN side computers dissapear over time.
This hasn't happened to me.
I haven't tried turning off the SSID since I don't really mind it being on. The only problem I've come across is that I couldn't get wireless clients to connect to the router if I used WPA2 TKIP-PSK. WPA2 AES-PSK works fine though. |

KennyC join:2003-01-31 Australia | reply to llgomezg Hi,
Gone back from 2.76b05 to 2.71b07 and my wireless file transfer speeds have gone from 1.2 mB/sec to 3.86 mB/sec. That's too much of a difference for me.

 | Hi,
I had 2.70 and was working perfectly well but I saw 2.75 was out there and so I've upgraded. Oh what a mistake! It keeps rebooting. I use a VPN connection to work from home and this obviously drops :-(
So then I upgraded to 2.76, Build:0005 but now I can't connect wireless as DHCP is not giving me an IP (it works wired tho).
Does anyone have a link to the old 2.70 firmware? Is there a firmware archive somewhere in the www?
Cheers. |
