As far as this deal, GREAT ! I dont care who offers the service as long as its not the city operating it. Broadband should NOT become a tax in the future.
Nobody is complaining about 384Kbps. If you read it, it ISN'T even that much. It is 2/3 of that roughly that you will be seeing for free. With 200-250Kbps speeds that you will see it isn't much better than nothing specially considering it has ads for such slow speeds. It won't be build out instantly so the earliest we are looking at this to be done is by 2007. 250Kbps by 2007 standards should be considered slow.
