| Firewall issues
I have just moved into a dorm for college. i just redownloaded limewire and i can't seem to get a connection. I have internet, everything else works, just not the limewire. what can i do to get around this firewall. I'm afraid it might be the dorm firewall that is keeping me from getting a connection |

Some schools are really anal about that. Mine is extremely accomodating however. They dont block any ports, nor do they monitor your connection

Try different ports, then try encryption. Haven't seen any anti filesharing things yet that encryption doesn't beat.

i`m not really sure what you mean. you would have to tell me a way to find the ports that i could try |

clubs: | Just try random ports. If weird numbers don't work, then they might be using traffic shaping in which you will need to use encryption.
