Re: GPS Software For Laptop

I use CoPilot Live on my pocket pc, and there is a really nice laptop version of their software. Just checked out the site and CoPilot Live Laptop is on sale for $129. Usually it is much more expensive than that!

Delorme Street Atlas is probably the #1 PC based navigation package so of course you'd find a lot of reviews with some negative. It's $40 and a 30 day money back guarantee.

What's better about your $2k in-car navigation vs your $40 PC based software? I used a few versions of Delorme Street Atlas before I purchased a Garmin GPS w/ autorouting. I also own a brand new 2007 Chevy Suburban LTX with their in-dash navigation. Other then voice prompts in the Suburban, it does the same routing as my $400 handheld GPS.

I have built in Gps in my Acura TL and the software blows streets and trips out of the water in every possible way as do most handhelp gps units. Delorme has several bad reviews, so I think I will skip it. I guess there isn't anything of that caliber available for laptops.

The inav package looks like it is for pocket pc. I am looking for a laptop package.
