Currently, I have a SPA9000/SPA400 setup which seems to work great. I have a few dialing pattern issues I need to work out but other than that it works great. What I am now attempting to accomplish is talk my two PSTN lines (voice and fax) and run them into the SPA400. Across the LAN I have a SPA2002 hooked to our analog home phone. I can get this to work fine with respect to receiving calls, placing calls (it would be best if this phone didn't have to dial 9), etc. I have one problem, which is call waiting on the PSTN line. For example: I take a incoming call from the PSTN line on the analog phone connected to the SPA2002. If another call comes in, doing a hook flash does not work. I must have hook flash capability for calls going to or from the PSTN line. Maybe I don't have the proper ATA (SPA2002) on the analog phone. Anyone have suggestions on how to solve this problem?

There is a setting with the spa2002 that can change the hook flash parameters, but before you do that to determine whether or not this setting is at fault press the hook flash down (ie the hangup button or the flash button on your phone) for an extended period of time, rather than a quick press. If it works then the hook flash setting on your spa can be shortened...but we'll get into that if this works.

redshift Premium join:2004-03-23 Beverly Hills, CA	Re: [Equipment] Hook Flash Before you go tinkering around with the settings please confirm whether holding it down for a while longer made any difference. If you do want to take a look at this, then you must be logged in under advanced and the settings are: Hook Flash Timer Min: Hook Flash Timer Max Which are located under the "regional" tab.

newton53 join:2006-08-24 Ball Ground, GA	I have done several experiments and no luck. Since I am behind a SPA9000 and have to dial 9 for "an outside line". Each time I attempt a flash, I get the second dialtone as if I had dialed a 9. I have not messed with the default settings as it appears that those should work fine. Seems like there is something else to do with they way I have things set up.
