| Why are students who attend Texas A&M so rude?
I was driving up six to get back to the office, went a car full of Texas A&M students sped by, and as they were passing me, one of them flipped me off. 30 minutes earlier as I was getting home to check the mail, and hopped back into my car to leave, as I was pulling out, one of them turned right in front of me, when I clearly had the right of way. Had I not slammed on my brakes, I would have hit him, and he would have been in the wrong.
They just do rude crap like that. Anyone know why? |

| I don't think it is A&M students in particular, you'll find shitty students at every university. (You should see some of the idiots around here who call UT home)
Also keep in mind this was a big weekend for A&M. First Yell, first football game, first time the freshman have had a taste of a full blown school celebration, etc. -- AMD X2 4800+ @2700Mhz/ MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum SLI/ 4x 1024Mb Corsair XMS PC4000/ WD 74Gb Raptor/ PNY 7800GTs SLI/ Antec 550 True Control/Custom water cooler |

| reply to Camelot One said by Camelot One :(You should see some of the idiots around here who call UT home) I don't neccesarily agree. I have noticed similar behavior that atuarre is describing; yeah UT has its share of morons, but not really in the same sense that he is talking about - at least in my experience. |

1 edit | reply to atuarre I concur with you CamelotOne. Has nothing to do with the school. Has to do with being that age. Sad note on our times, actually.
I, personally, don't think college students are as mature as when I attended UT (I'll give away my age here, the late 60's). They may be sexually more mature, but developmentally & responsibility-wise, many have taken a "giant step backwards for mankind", IMHO, to play on a quote of a famous astronaut.
To elaborate, I have a really hard time understanding the violence and property destruction that surrounds college football games these days. We hear/read about in the news all the time, it seems. It's rampant all over the nation. I just can't understand why they feel the need to drink to excess and then go out and damage people's cars, businesses and homes in the name of school spirit or out of sheer meanness. It's almost like college kids nowadays think if they're drunk, the rest of us will excuse the behavior & just give them a slap on the hand?
In all fairness to the current college generation, we also drank in college. Nothing new. But we didn't then go out and destroy property!!!! I just don't understand that mentality. -- Peggy in Texas |
