Someone needs new batteries!

1.99GB is 75% of 2.00GB?

51TB Projected? My connection is good, but not THAT good!

Wow dadkins, it's not enough that you have the fastest connection anyone's seen but you have to abuse the pants off it too
Gotta love that math though

What is 'abuse' in his use of 2GB on usenet? Comcast has a 2GB limit, so what is it about 'abuse' that someone approaches that limit?

Nope, it's not 'abuse' at all. If it Comcast had no Usenet limitation, downloading a terrabyte might be 'abuse'

An unjustified accusation of 'abuse' is truly abuse of the OP on several levels. Read your TOS.

Looks like no one caught on to the 51 TB projection either! lol That's a big jump from 2 GBs to 51 TBs with only 6 days left in the month

FWIW I also pay for Newsguy USENET. It's not as fast as GG but I've been paying for it for a while now so just keep it up. Recently they started crediting me for unused bandwidth. I rarely use it so I keep getting more and more. I think they have a 2 GB limit like GG as well.

2 GB in less than a month? Heck, I sometimes download
that much (or more) in a day. July and August have been
my heaviest usage months, with 37.77 and 39.70 GB used,
and so far this month, I've used 11.31 GB. I have DU Meter
set to warn me if I go over 50 GB/month, which I feel is
low enough to avoid getting a bandwidth abuse letter.

If you notice this was for USENET bandwidth on Giganews not Comcast bandwidth. GG/CC accounts only have a 2 GB monthly limit.

I have noticed running NetPerSec all day that my daily usage is over 1 GB. That is normal HTTP traffic, USENET and perhaps a few downloads.

The quota is probably not based on physical months, but on rolling 30-day time slots...

51TB???? Are camped out behind the server farm with a direct LAN connection to the server???

No, he just has a direct fiber uplinks to the CO that's all. I saw the bundle of Corning Optical cables running into his home. Symmetrical gigabit connection that is.

Would it be possible that they have a grace amount that goes another 25% before they actually cut you off?
