Just look at all the people on it and how many views popular videos get there, that is proof that people like online video. Reason why people don't download tv shows is they either don't know about Torrent and Newsgroups or they don't want to take the risk of downloading stuff.

Maybe you haven't downloaded shows in a long time, but a good xvid/mpeg4 rip of an HD show is FAR from "crappy quality"... Infact, I had people thinking I was watching a DVD more than a few times. If you wanna see quality TV rips, search for "HR" (basically means it's High Res capture with 5.1 sound.
