| Improved Voice mail notification
Well you asked for it and this morning here is what I got when I was left a voice mail message, sent to the e-mail address I specified in the control panel: I changed the names and phone number so no one will ever really know who I am....lol
Dear NY Tel Guy:
You were just left a 0:12 long message (number 1) in mailbox 1-212-000-0000 from "john Smith" , on Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at 06:52:02 AM, so you might want to check it when you get a chance. Thank you.

@169.144.x.x | Can anybody check if this works for SMS notification as well. Earlier the SMS only indicated that somebody left a voicemail with no additional info. |

| reply to pds SMS still only gives the "you have a new voicemail" message. If you can enter your SMS email ID into the "send email" control, though, you can get the more detailed message. Unfortunately, the message was cut off just after the area code in my mobile--I saw the CID name, but only the 1919 (no digits after that). |

| reply to ChrisFix said by ChrisFix :It is the standard email notification I've been receiving since signing up two months ago... My error, I had been having them send an SMS to my Blackberry and then switched it to e-mail since they both come through on the same device and e-mail is free while I am allowed 300 SMS to my "crappy" T-Mobile Blackberry. |

| reply to NY Tel I believe it is already noted in the Request Thread, but more specific information would be nice in the SMS notification. You can't use too many characters with SMS (limitations and cost - at least with mine), so it should probably just give message length, date/time, and CID (order can be different).
For Example: Rec'd 50.0s vm @ 17:00 9/9/06 "CID".
Something like that. Short and sweet. |

I would change the order:
VM from <NPA-NXX-XXXX> "CID Text......." @ xx/xx/xxxx hh:mm:ss, ?? min/sec.
Of course, you could make everyone happy by allowing the message to be customized for each user. |
