Comcast aka TW internet only works in the morning

Anyone else experience this? Or maybe know what's going on? My internet works in the morning, and by the time I get home from work, it's out...repeat. Customer service has no clue, and the techs don't seem to care...I think I may have to go to DSL...

i'm in socal.

I had this problem a few years ago w/ Comcast. In the morning...everything worked fine, by the afternoon, it didn't. And this was summer in Florida.

The problem? A broken line. The original line running into the house ran under the driveway, which got pretty hot in the sun. When the cable heated up and expanded, it disconnected. I could only get a signal from about 3am to about 8 am. It took about 8 visits, and at one point, three different trucks, to find out that it was a simple issue.

Not saying thats what your problem is...just sounds eerily similar.

One of the many problems I had with HSI cable modem Mediacom in West Des Moines, Iowa (all of which were eventually fixed with patience and persistence on my part) was guessed by the technician to be interference from televisons. This manifested usually from high school out time (around 3pm) until late night (after midnight) with lots of problems (stops, slowdowns, disconnects, etc.).

I forget which fix fixed this particular problem, but I'm pretty sure it was a signal quality problem; the more people use TVs, the worse the signal got.

Fixing broken cabling and putting appropriate back filters for TVs seems to have fixed the problem. The technician gave me a filter for my TV that filtered the junk from my TV back into the cable line; that helped a lot. He fixed broken cabling coming into the apartment. I forget what else he did; did he install those filters on the apartment's other lines?
