What do you mean by smart switch.
There are unmanaged and managed switches.

What are your requirements???
For a lower cost switch I would look at Dell
For a higher cost switch I would look at HP procurve
There are choices in between but neither include your choices.

Another vote for the Procurve switches from HP. Rock solid and they work like a charm. I highly recommend them. I have heard good things about Cisco and Dell switches as well.

Knowing your budget would be helpful.

You might want to have a look at this one....

(24 not 16 though)

But also peruse dell business site as they often have,
can't be beat specials on similarly equipped switches.

At home, I have a Linksys unmanaged Gigabit switch that I picked up for a couple hundred about a year ago. I stress "UNMANAGED" because it wouldn't work for your situation, but it is a rock solid switch for me. You could look at the Linksys or SMC line of switches, but you can bet from a quality standpoint that the likes of HP or Cisco would be much better made.
