Medicine Hat, AB | [DW7000] Signal Strength G11 My signal strength on G11 1070 is 54, best I can get. My ACP passes at 79. I get rate code 256k 2/3 (TC) Seems low but powers to be says it's fine. Anyone on this transponder getting the same low signal? I used to be one G11 1350 and had signal of 65 and ACP 82.

Brattleboro, VT | I have been on 3 different transponders on G11 over the last 2 years. I get 58-60 at best in Southern Vermont. I have a very solid munt and have been repointed twice by a good installer. I believe that signal is about nominal.

I've been an 3 different transponders on G-11 since 2001.
They have always been near 70 here with 1410, the one I'm
on now seems the highest at 81. 1370 was always in the mid 70's

Brattleboro, VT | I was curious, because the lower your dish inclination, the more atmosphere your signal would have to punch through hence causing a weaker signal. Seems like northern Ohio and Southern Vermont are at almost the same latitude. If G11 is way west of VT compared to OH, then I would still have to punch through a lot more sky for my signal to hit the bird. I don't really know for sure. Perhaps your entire system is just better installed and aimed. Sounds like you have a good setup.

| On 1050 we got 56 after the installer spent hours pointing it. He did say that he made tradeoffs to get a better upload as I had requested.
This morning in light rain it was down to 45. Still worked..I wonder though. |

Mine has been between 74-77 lately but back in February I managed 83-83 and the ACP was about 83. The latest ACP is now 78.

I'm on G11 1370MHz here in NW Maine and I usually get between 60-65 for a signal with good weather conditions.

I guess if it works I can't complain just because of a low signal strength! We are waay South in Mexico on the edge of the footprint, I believe.
It was just installed in August. We've got a ratecode of 512 4/5 (small office), which means, I guess that he did succeed in getting a good upload optimization. |

Hi new here...I'm on G11 (091*W) (in southeastern VA) and I consistently get 63 for strength - even now when it's raining. It also says 256 2/3 TC. I was hoping for a better signal but this was the best the installer could get after hours of trying. |

Have you had frost yet? My uploads have been real bad the past month but downloads I would say good most of the time now. I just did two speed tests within a minute apart, one at HN and the other at testmynet with a signal of 75;

No frost yet GDude. Had a lot of rain past 2 days. I'm amazed staying on line down to 33 signal strength.

My rig was intalled on 9/8. HN7000S with PowerPak. I'm in western MA on IA6 93W. Signal in clear and light cloudiness is 91. With heavy rain today it dropped to 83, and is 88 now with overcast. I can't complain, especially after over 8 years on 26.4 kb/s dialup. |

I have found out why my uploads have been way off the past few weeks, my modem expired on the 14th and I've been offline. I just swapped a replacement DW7000 this morning and my speeds are back to the "up-to" as advertised for Pro. My signal is mid 70's, cloudy here and ACP's have been 75 to 80.
