| [Extreme] Internet usage tool - FAQ - 2nd page - extra charge???
Is there a charge if I exceed the monthly bandwidth limit?
Description Charge for exceeding the monthly bandwidth limit.
Answer An additional usage above the current bandwidth limit may be charged at $1.25 per gigabyte.
I was reading the FAQ and noticed this on the second page... I just clocked 290 GB's last month.... I hope they arent going to start charging without giving notice. I've never received a letter and I've always been over... I'm usually over 20-40 gbs, but some months I'm way over. If i didn't see the FAQ i would have never known! |

If they start charing you per GB after 100gb on Extreme they should send you a letter. Not everyone reads the FAQ every month.. lol |

So, it looks like they are going to start charging as a way to control bandwidth usage. |

| reply to robinjames man $1.25 is a heavy charge. I can smell a top tier brewing in this case then?
i.e. $50 for 100gigs, $1.25 per gig over OR $100 for unlimited, or maybe 200gigs/month.. something like that.
I don't see how they can just keep the utmost top tier at 100gigs and charge per gig over without offering users the ability to pay more per month with less risk to getting into the $1.25 per gig scenario. |
