There are those of us that say he didnt do anything special, he did his job and he did it well. Your actually the one that went above and beyond to recognize someone else that entered your day on a companies behalf. Kudos to YOU! You may say that it is all in a days work, but I have had other installs at other places that did not go even close to as this good. Maybe its because my standard expectations for an install had declined.
I had one at a different house where a new tap had to be put in and they ran a line to it and just left it on the ground. Didn't attach it to the house or anything. I believe that was Media One. They told me it would be another week before anyone could come to "fix" it.
Another time, I had some guy who looked like he was tweaking hard and smelled awful. Thankfully he only had to do work outside. -- Utinam barbari spatium proprium tuum invadant!

Sometimes you will get someone who does a good job and they should be highly commended for it.
There are also times you get someone who is "collecting paychecks" and does the minimum to get the job done.
Anytime I get great service, I make it a point to contact that person's supervisor and tell them about their employee.

1 edit | I'm glad you had a professional guy come out. Contractors get a bad name at Comcast. One bad experience spoils it for the whole bunch. I know there are some contractors that are just as good as the in house techs. You just don't hear about them, only the bad contractor experiences. Kudos goes out to the installer. Way to go dude. If DanHo would like to give me that techs info, I'll e-mail head of contracting so he can get recognition for his work. -- "Always in the Need for Speed."
