| Watching my connections??!!
How easy is it for my boss to see every connection and screen that I open up on my PC at work???
Can he see my secured (Pad-Locked) pages IE. my back account etc. when I perform on line banking while at work on the company network??
Is there anyway besides not opening these pages to avoid my boss from seeing these pages??? |

| I figured such but thanks for the response anyway.
What I have seen lately is someone moving my mouse pointer around while I do my emails and someone using the space bar to to move the cursor when I type emails.
What freaks - thanks again. |

Probably not, if the connection is using 128-bit encryption. But if he's put a keylogger or screen capture service on your machine it'd be done automatically.
In order for him to intercept and spoof that https connection he'd have to pretend to be your bank, and you'd get a popup warning that his bogus security certificate didn't match your bank's. That would tip you off that he's intercepting your traffic.
Is there anyway besides not opening these pages to avoid my boss from seeing these pages??? If he doesn't have something resident on your PC, no. But since it's really not "your" PC, but his, he very well could have monitoring software running.
Edit to de-typo a misteak. |

Sounds like VNC or some other remote access software. Yes, they see EVERYTHING with that. Maybe the mouse/key stuff was to let you know they're watching. |

Though in my case, I know it's the weight of the mouse cord hanging down from the keyboard shelf, that imperceptibly moves the very lightweight mouse on my desk, just enough to produce some scary pointer drift on-screen. |

When that happens, look at the system tray on the bottom right corner, you may see a new icon pop up there for the duration of this activity. Bringing your mouse cursor on it will tell you its some remote-access software. Atleast thats how the IT guys install software on our workstations when we raise a request.
The icon kinda looks likes the top part of this electric razor, LOL. |

| I have never seen this symbol you discribe but have not looked either but trust me I will keep watching.
One of the more obvious issues lately has been just plain old poor performance and PC lock ups while doing emails etc. The IT folks just keep saying that there are having problems all over with this issue which seesm suspicious but who knows for sure.
I will keeps my eyes peeled. Can VNC or other remote access software work in the back ground without any indication it is working??
Thanks |
