| [DW7000] Downloading from LearnItFirst.com
Has anyone ever tried to download from LearnItFirst.com? I am trying to download one of their free training videos to see if it is worth subscribing to their service, but each time I try to download, I get a message saying that the item could not be found.
I have had a friend download with no problems, but he is not on the HughesNet service.
Could someone try downloading one of the free videos from »www.learnitfirst.com/FreeVideos/default.aspx ? I would greatly appreciate it. |

| reply to kwsanders Now this is very interesting. Thanks for the reply. That is the first time that I have been able to download and not get the message that you posted in your first reply.
What does the TurboPage do that would cause the problem?
I am assuming that after the download, I should go back and restore the TurboPage connection, right? |

| Rather than tearing down the turbo page, try using https protocol. I simply added the letter s in the above domain in the browser's address bar and the d/l worked flawlessly.
I've had a *lot* of trouble with this, and so far that works for me and is much, MUCH easier than tearing down the turbo page. -- dw7000 pro| Sat AMC9/1370 MHz| Sig:76 | DynIP | Linksys WRT54GX2 WPA | WinXPproSP2 |512M RAM |

| That is very interesting. It does work. Unfortunately, for some of their other sites, it does not work. I am going to email the webmaster and check into it. I have had several email transactions with him lately. He was very helpful with all of this as well.

| I've found several things that turbo page screws up. Like:
•some secure logins, gmail, for me •some downloads •cpanel, a web server management feature •some anti-spam bot detectors will sense that you're a bot and turn you away
Sometimes clearing the browser cache and cookies will help. Other times I have to use https, or if that fails, tear down turbo page.
Overall; my experience with HughesNet has been.....less than satisfactory.
