where did you get the new series 3 tivo? This is the new tivo that can support digital cable right? Does this allow you to do on-demand?

It supports cablecard 1.0, the 1 way cablecards. No it does not support 2 way communication which won't be available to Cablecard 2.0.

No on-demand with Cable Card, at least with version 1.0.
